Scholarships and programs

The strategic agreements entered into by Technoparc Montréal help strengthen the synergy between Quebec universities and the scientific research and technology companies established at its Saint-Laurent Campus.

One such agreement involves the creation of an official scholarship program for research students worth a total of $248,000. A part of BMP Innovation’s scholarship program, this three-year agreement is a concrete way of attracting talent and has been approved by the following organizations:

• The Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT)
• National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, students must:

• Be working towards their master’s or doctoral degree
• Complete a thesis
• Work on an R&D project developed by their host company

Number of available scholarships

• 5 master’s scholarships
• 2 doctoral scholarships

Value of excellence scholarships

• Master’s scholarship: $14,000 per year
• Doctoral scholarship: $18,000 per year

Minimal corporate contribution

• Master’s scholarship: $7,000
• Doctoral scholarship: $9,000

We also have various bilateral technological cooperation agreements in place to finance specific projects, including PARI-CNRC / OSEO (a France-Canada agreement).
