Monthly Sustainability Tips & Insights from ERA: Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day, the largest environmental event in the world! It’s a day when businesses set aside time for their staff to do something for the environment. This Earth Day, ERA wants to encourage your organization to join them in making a difference in our Technoparc community.
Every year on Earth Day, the ERA team celebrates Earth Day by picking up litter and garbage in and around our campus. They are now inviting your teams to join them on April 22nd at lunch time to give back to the environment by pick up litter from your own space – it’s amazing how much better your property will look and feel, and you’ll be making a tangible difference in the biodiversity and wildlife around you.
ERA has implemented many pollinator projects in the Technoparc area. Bees, bats, and other pollinators play an essential role in our community ecosystem. This Earth Day consider planting a small and affordable pollinator garden on your property. ERA’s team of sustainability scientists would be more than happy to help you understand what makes a successful pollinator or butterfly garden!
As a member of the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment, ERA participates in a Biodiversity workgroup to increase local biodiversity. Did you know that pollinators like the monarch butterfly are in decline? Earth is facing the greatest rate of extinction for animals and insects since the loss of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. It’s up to us humans to act and stop the trend.
Questions about this tip? For more information, please send an email to ERA at info@era-ehs.com or see their Website.

The Monthly Web Advice by Marketing Ultimum:
Rock your Linkedin in 5 minutes a day

Linkedin can be a truly beneficial tool for networking with peers, acquiring potential leads and promoting your business brand. However, with so many opportunities and people using the platform, managing efficiently your professional account can be time-consuming and it can become hard to stand out from the crowd.
Therefore, here’s how you can distinguish yourself by your responsiveness and rock your Linkedin in 5 minutes a day:
-1 minute to accept requests – Do you have any pending connection?
A common Linkedin misconception is that you should only connect with people you know or want to do business with. Why limit yourself? Accept connection requests.
-1 minute to send a request – Is your network growing?
Linkedin will continually prompt you to connect with people you might know. A good target is to aim to connect with at least 1 person every day. With consistency, your network will be thriving in no time.
-3 minutes to say thank you – Send a thank you message to new connections!
Whether you know your new connections or not, you can never go wrong by thanking them for connecting with you. If you don’t know each other, this could be a good opportunity to tell them a little bit about yourself or the business as well as share your content that you think they could find pertinent. Make sure you don’t fail to make an impression, as this will be your first interaction.
