Visits of international delegations at the Technoparc

During the last weeks, we had the honor to welcome several international delegations at the Technoparc. First, we greeted a delegation from Haiti, composed of officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the national company of industrial parks (SONAPI). Then we had the consular delegation from the United Kingdom, which was made up of officials associated with economic development and foreign investment, for a presentation on the Technoparc and a visit at the NEOMED Institute. Finally, an Australian delegation composed of delegates from the Consulate General came to meet the Technoparc team for a presentation on the site. These three visits allowed us to plan future collaborations in terms of investments at the Technoparc, especially in high-tech industries such as health sciences and information technology. They have also given some of our resident companies the opportunity to consider potential breakthroughs in foreign markets. Interested to bring a delegation to the Technoparc for a visit? Please contact us through our Website.

SolidXperts celebrates its 20th anniversary

In June 2018, partners, customers and employees came together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of SolidXperts as part of a BBQ that took place on their terrace, in the Technoparc. Grilled meats, hamburgers and salads were on the menu, accompanied by the music of the Trio Accoustique group and the presentation of the Nissan Micra Cup cars. As the sun was at the rendezvous, the guests were also able to enjoy the donuts and ice cream from the Crémy Pâtisserie truck. A beautiful day of celebrations that was greatly appreciated by all. Congratulations to SolidXperts for this event as well as for your 20th anniversary! To learn more about our resident SolidXperts, please see their Website.

Services aux résidents

Opera at Technoparc

During our most recent “food truck Thursday” event at the Technoparc, we had the pleasure of being charmed by the vocals of baritone Hugo Laporte and soprano Eleonora De La Pena, both from the troupe LM Opéra. They offered a truly magnificent performance to the participants who came to hear them while taking their lunch from one of the three food trucks present. We warmly thank the artists and the director of the agency, Ms. Leila-Marie Chalfoun, for their visit. We really enjoyed the melody, in the middle of a day during which the mercury was close to 40 degrees! Do not forget to participate in our next “food truck Thursday” by consulting the schedule on our Website.

Monthly Sustainability Tips & Insights from ERA: Reducing Organic and Food Waste

If your company has a cafeteria or generates other organic waste, you would benefit from a composting program. When ERA moved to the Technoparc we initiated a meal program for the staff that generated a lot of food. It took only weeks to realize how much organic waste we were sending to the landfill from food prep and leftovers. Here’s some food for thought…
In the St-Laurent borough, composting is only available in residential areas, so it can be difficult to board the composting train. ERA partnered with Compost Montreal, a 100% local composting service with 10 years experience. Your current waste collection company may also offer composting.
We chose Compost Montreal because they track how much organic waste you produce by weight and help you monitor your waste. Each quarter we know how much waste was diverted from landfills and how much greenhouse gas we reduce. For every ton of food waste diverted, we reduce CO2 levels by 0.72 tons, and produce 425kg of certified A-1 agricultural-grade compost.
We implemented a lending policy on inexpensive reusable containers to take leftovers home. Monitor the amount of food prepared in the cafeteria to find that sweet spot between too much and too little food. Opt for compostable materials like compostable plates and cups – napkins, tissues and paper towel are compostable too!
Composting is easy, inexpensive, and has a big environmental impact. It’s a great place for any Technoparc neighbours to get started on their green journey.
